Slater has been slow to mature and at four years of age is only just coming into his own. He titled in just over 12 months of age and in the process, along with his sister Lia, twice qualified for the 2005 Zone 3 Puppy of the Year Final. Slater went on to win Runner Up Puppy of the Year for Zone 3. After a 12 month holiday from the show ring Slater made a sensational return taking BEST IN SHOW his firtst week end back. This win made Slater an eight generation BEST IN SHOW winner on a direct sire line. Slater is now a multi Best In Show, Runner Up Best in Show, multi Best In Group, Class in Group and In Show winner. On the 10 May 2009 received the final points for his grand making him a 4th generation Grand Champion to continue on the tradition. He completed his grand in style with a Best in Group and Runner Up Best in Show. We are delighted with this young man thus far and are proud to be a part of the grand tradition. Slater's favourite thing, besides his giant stuffed toys and table surfing is visiting schools. His superb nature making a popular visitor for staff and children alike.
